Rembrandt is undoubtedly one of the greatest painters in the history of art, celebrated for his masterpieces due to his exceptional ability to depict light and shadow, his expressive power, and the profound impact of his works on the art world. The idea for creating this collection emerged after studying and taking notes on the masterpieces of my favorite artist, Rembrandt.
During this exploration, I asked myself: how can I create new works inspired by the masterpieces of the past while incorporating my personal interests?
To achieve this, I utilized the general structure of Rembrandt’s works. I placed his images at a distance where their details would not dominate and, inspired by them and guided by my feelings in the moment, began creating. The result is a series of abstract paintings and drawings with fluid and liberated lines, evoking the overall atmosphere of Rembrandt’s art.
