Intertwined Forms
ALIREZA JAHROMI
Intertwined Forms | The Moment Form Takes Shape This video offers a close look at the paintings and working process of Alireza Jahromi, where the image is understood as a process in the making. In these works, forms are layered, become transparent, and pass through one another; meaning emerges through coexistence, erasure, and the continuous reworking of the image. The video focuses on a key stage of the artist’s practice, in which the overall form takes shape before being transferred onto the canvas. This phase allows for experimentation, the simultaneous viewing of multiple forms, and the examination of visual relationships. It is a process that forms the basis of a visual language that continues and develops across Jahromi’s different bodies of work. Intertwined Forms offers an opportunity to engage with the logic of image-making, modes of thinking through form, and the role of layering in the formation of painting—establishing a connection between sound, image, and the artist’s lived experience.
